Here is what I did to download and install Apache Ant 1.8.3 on my Windows system.

3. Save the download file to C:downloadapache-ant-1.8.3-bin.zip and wait for the download to finish.

4. Unzip C:downloadapache-ant-1.8.3-bin.zip to folder C:localapache-ant-1.8.3.

5. Set JAVA_HOME as a system environment variable to point to the JDK 1.7 home folder:
