Native Instruments Guitar Rig 6 is an amp and effects modeling software package developed by Native Instruments. Designed primarily for electric guitar and bass, the software uses amp modeling to enable real-time digital signal processing in both standalone and studio environments (VST / DXi / RTAS / AU). It was originally released in mid-2004.

This all worked great (Win7x64, Guitar Rig 5, Audacity 2.1.0) when I first installed yesterday. But Audacity crashed today when using another VST. Since then it has refused to recognise Guitar Rig again. I have recopied the Guitar Rig dll into the audacity plugins directory. I have reinstalled Audacity. Rebooted the computer. Guitar Rig 5 is the ultimate guitar effects VST / amp simulator I've ever used. With an easy-to-navigate interface and a plethora of diverse sounds, Guitar Rig 5 is a formidable beast in any guitarists arsenal.

Just wanted to know if Guitar Rig 5 is compatible to Cakewalk as a plug in, I've read other forums and haven't really gotten a clear answer. Simply put, is there a way I can record live guitar with the effects.

I bought a Guitar Rig 5 today and i'm unable to troubleshoot my problems.. I googled but nothing helped to solve my query..Free

Actually, everything goes well when i play on the stand alone Guitar RIG.. I can hear the guitar effects on my headphone while i am playing my guitar.. The problem is when i open the guitar rig as VST in ableton live (dragged in audio), i can only hear the clean tone of guitar, not with the guitar effects.. When i record the guitar and playback, i can hear with the guitar with effects but when i cannot get the guitar effects while playing.. Only i can hear is the clean guitar tone...
