Developed by Leading Edge Simulations, the aircraft is now offered at a 40% discount. Keep in mind, the sale is currently active and runs through Sunday February 24, 2019.   • Back to X-Plane after a little break. Now I've got the new Saab 340 from Leading Edge Simulations. It's a study sim, so it's a little involved but it's very well made with good supporting.

It only seems like a few months ago that X-Plane was parched of business jets. And this statement is true, when compared to the number of business jets in development for X-Plane 11 right now.

Hot Start, Torquesim and Aerobask are some of the developers breaking into the market, with all sorts of manufacturers and models of aircraft. One bizjet is being developed under manufacturer licencing, whilst two others are set to compete against each other for quality.

This article lists business jets currently in development for X-Plane 11, as well as a few notable releases over the past several months.

Advanced Flight Modelling

Starting the list off in alphabetical order is Advanced Flight Modelling (AFM). The developer has, for the past two years, been working on a Learjet 35, but other projects mean the Learjet has not been top of priorities. No public images have surfaced, but in the meantime, attention is concentrated on their M20 Collection and Torquesim aircraft. Development of the aircraft was confirmed to be ongoing last month.

Aerobask

Aerobask have challenged themselves with a large business jet that can cruise up to 51,000 feet: the Dassault Falcon 8X. The tri-jet can fly for nearly 12,000 kilometres to almost anywhere on Earth, without needing to refuel.

What makes this aircraft stand out from the pack, however, is the fact it is licenced by Dassault Aviation, the manufacturer of the aircraft. They are providing Aerobask with the necessary resources to complete the rendition, which to date has seen a couple of previews of its exterior, interior and systems.

The aircraft is projected to be completed either late this year, or early in the next.

Carenado

Slowly bringing more of their aircraft to X-Plane 11, Carenado has thus far released the E50P Phenom 100, and more recently, the S550 Citation II and 390 Premier IA.

Simulations

Their latest development is that of the Falcon 50, an aircraft manufactured by Dassault Aviation.

Dan Petrozziello

A name you may be unfamiliar with, Petrozziello’s first aircraft is that of the Raytheon 390/Premier IA. For more than a year, he has worked hard on developing a rendition of the bizjet, with recent development focusing on interactions in the aft maintenance bay.

Attention currently centres around the avionics, with the PFD and MFD displays, and a Proline 21.

DDen

Best known for the Challenger 300, DDen’s focus on bizjets sees a rendition of the Bombardier Global 6000 currently in the works. It is by long and far the largest bizjet in terms of size in this list, with a service ceiling and a range close to that of the Falcon 8X.

The latest update to the project came on the first day of February, when a video of the interior was posted. Things have been quiet since.

Hot Start

A familiar name synonymous with the three letters ‘TBM’, Hot Start are developing another aircraft in the form of a business jet: the Bombardier Challenger 650. Said to have an “unparalleled level of system depth,” the 650 is expected to meet the same high standard of the Socata TBM 900 the developer has already released.

As of time of writing, it is in the early stages of development, with no possibility of release in 2019. It is predicted however that it will be ready come the first or second quarter of 2020.

Leading Edge Simulations

A developer that has collaborated with others such as Hot Start, Leading Edge Simulations has had a Citation II (model 550) in development for many years. To quote this post, it will be worked on after a major update is released for their Saab 340.

RWDesigns

Leading edge simulations saab 340 gt

RWDesigns has dipped into six aircraft thus far, from the Airbus A330 to the DHC-3. The bizjet they are developing is that of the Citation Mustang, which is in-fact an imminent release.

Rob Wilson has recently been hospitalised however, and contemplated releasing it without immediate support. The ETA is currently unknown at this moment, but we will of course post the news when it is ready.

Torquesim

Threshold were handed exclusive previews of their Citation 525A back in March, showing an impressive level of detail in and out of the aircraft.

Development of the aircraft is a collaboration between Advanced Flight Modelling and Attitude Simulations, and is to have both a steam gauges and a G1000 variant, plus medevac and military versions.

Les Saab 340

X-Crafts

Although now released, the very recent release of the ERJ family of aircraft came with an unexpected treat: the Embraer Legacy 650. The variant is a derivative of the ERJ 145, and has the capacity to carry fourteen passengers.
